Bookkeeper / Accountant

On behalf of our client, a well-established Administrative Services Company subsidiary of a highly respected Law Firm with offices in Nicosia, Limassol and abroad, we are seeking to recruit a highly competent and experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join their expanding team of professionals.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy & Finance or related field or any relevant accounting qualification (LCCI Higher Accounting);

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an Accountancy position;

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel;

  • Good knowledge of E-Soft Accounting will be considered an advantage;

  • Basic understanding of VAT and tax would be advantageous;

  • Preparation of financial statements;

  • Fluent in both oral and written English. Knowledge of the Russian language (written and verbal) will be considered an advantage;

  • Excellent team player who will take ownership;

  • Professional and reliable;

  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills;

  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • General Bookkeeping duties;

  • Responsible for keeping proper accounts and financial records;

  • Filing of VAT returns and VIES;

  • Knowledge and handling of Tax matters;

  • Checking company bank statements;

  • Conducting regular bank reconciliations;

  • Preparation of reports for Management as and when required;

  • Dealing with financial paperwork and filing;

  • Processing payroll;

  • Calculating Salary, Social Insurances, PAYE;

  • Auditors’ assistance in the form of providing explanations and documentation to the auditors;

  • Any other duties allocated by the Head of the Department.
